Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of High Grade Gas Service, which is headquartered in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. This transaction marks EDP’s first operation in the state, further expanding the company’s footprint into the Northeast.

A third-generation, family-run business, High Grade Gas Service was founded in 1957 and has been owned by the Aiken family for the entirety of its 65 years in business.

EDP expands further into New York state

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of Harbor Point Energy Products headquartered in Frankfort, New York.

Harbor Point Energy, which was founded in 2007, provides a full range of energy products and services to nearly 6,000 customers across seven counties in East Central New York. Principal owner John DesJardins has a long history in the energy industry and will remain with the company to spearhead the transition. All Harbor Point employees will join EDP.

EDP expands into Arizona

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced a partnership with Barrett Propane located in Prescott, Arizona. Barrett Propane provides propane service to more than 4,500 customers in Prescott and the surrounding area. Barrett Propane was owned by Dave Barrett, Malcolm Barrett and Brian Petrovich. 

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of Van Unen/Miersma Propane (VMP), which operates in some California markets under the name Sierra Propane, and its affiliate Windmill Propane.

Van Unen/Miersma Propane was founded in 1993 by Rick Van Unen, Marion Miersma and Jeff Van Groningen. In 2000, VMP acquired Sierra Propane, then later acquired the customer base and fixed assets of Hurts Propane. The founders incorporated Windmill Propane and continued to grow the combined company over the past two decades.
