CHICAGO — Chicago, Illinois-based Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) announced that Daniel Dixon has joined the company as vice president of corporate development.
EDP’s corporate development team is managed by Executive Vice President David Stroupe. Dixon has deep roots in the propane industry. He joined Propane Resources in 1997 and spent more than 15 years there as a consultant, engaging in valuations/appraisals and business reviews as well as mergers and acquisitions.
He later joined AmeriGas Propane, where he spent nearly nine years serving as group director of business development. To date, Dixon has participated in more than 60 successful transactions.
In addition to his corporate roles with Propane Resources and AmeriGas, Dixon has also been an active member of several industry organizations. He is past chairman of the Alabama Propane Gas Association and, more recently, past chairman of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). He currently serves on the NPGA’s Board of Directors.
Dixon graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of science degree in accountancy, and received his MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
