Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of Mount Perry Propane. A fast-growing propane marketer based in Mt. Perry, Ohio, the company serves 2,800 customers across nine counties in southeastern Ohio. Mount Perry Propane provides a variety of services to residential, commercial and agricultural customers.

Jordy and Sadie Anderson started Mount Perry Propane in 2010 and have built it into a well-respected operation today. Jordy’s parents, Danny and Lisa Anderson, sold their propane company, Anderson Propane Services, to EDP in 2018.

“Four years after purchasing Anderson Propane, we are thrilled that Jordy and Sadie Anderson also chose EDP when it came time to sell their business,” said Thomas Knauff, EDP’s president and CEO. “They have built a great reputation for providing exceptional service to their customers and being active in the local communities.” He added, “We look forward to continuing that legacy, and to welcoming their employees to the EDP family.”

Jordy Anderson said, “Choosing a buyer who would take good care of our employees was very important to us. Since EDP has maintained the legacy of my parents’ business – by taking excellent care of both their employees and their customers – it made sense for us to entrust EDP with our company, as well. We are confident we’ve made the right choice.”

EDP is actively seeking to expand its national footprint and diversify through the addition of new retail propane and light fuels operations.
