Lancaster, Penn. — The 13th annual Cargas Energy Summit was held virtually this year for the second time in its history. This format allowed energy customers and partners from across the country to safely participate in educational sessions, get a sneak-peek at upcoming features, and connect with one another.

A total of 337 people registered for the event, and 207 logged on and participated in at least one of our Cargas or partner-led sessions.  

Milwaukee (Oct. 12, 2021) — Briggs & Stratton announced that the Vanguard 400 single-cylinder engine, which has been converted to run on propane, has been certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as compliant with the Clean Air Act emission standards. This is the first and only engine in its size class with a manufacturer's warranty to be converted to propane fuel and receive EPA certification, with California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification on the horizon in 2022.

Ferrellgas announced it has promoted Brian Freeth to the position of west region manager. As a result of the promotion, the 20-year veteran of the propane company will oversee Ferrellgas’ operations in 11 western states. The former Indiana Propane Gas Association board member most recently served the company as general manager, overseeing retail locations in the states of Illinois and Indiana.
 

Gilbert, PA (Oct. 1, 2021)Paraco Gas announced that Gilbert, Pennsylvania-based Warner’s Propane & Oil has joined the Paraco family through an acquisition. Warner’s is a family-owned propane company that was founded in 1994 by Gary Warner and has remained managed by the Warner family.

This is Paraco’s 53rd acquisition, adding a strong customer base in a growing market in Monroe County, and marks Paraco’s fourth distribution location in Pennsylvania.

AUSTIN, Texas (Sept. 29, 2021) — The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT), a non-profit propane marketing and educational foundation, has launched a new Propane Appliance Rebate Program for 2021. This rebate program will assist Texas homeowners and business owners in saving on select new propane appliances.

ATLANTA (Sept. 27, 2021) — The annual Clean Energy Roadshow series, hosted by PSC Vice Chairman Tim Echols, returns for its 11th year to Peachtree Corners, opening on Tuesday, October 5th at 8:30 a.m. Three half-day, free events staged in Atlanta, Macon and Savannah will combine an outdoor commercial vehicle showcase and an educational seminar bringing together propane, natural gas and electric vehicle manufacturers with fleet managers and elected officials from across Georgia. Killeen, Texas and Winston Salem, N.C. Whippany, N.J. (Sept. 28, 2021) — Suburban Propane Partners, L.P. collaborated with Shoes 4 the Shoeless, a Dayton, Ohio-area nonprofit to provide 300 students at the Rosa Parks Elementary School in Middletown, Ohio, with new, properly-fitting shoes. The organization set up a pop-up shoe store in the school’s gymnasium with a variety of sizes and styles of shoes for students to choose from.
