During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, were mixed as we head into fall. The posted prices increased 0.583 cents/gal, from August mid-month to September mid-month while the spot prices decreased 4.75 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 1-cent increase and spots decreased 3.5 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-August posted price was 117.506 cents/gal. The next week, the price increased by 6.333 cents to 123.839 cents, followed by a 1.667-cent decrease to 122.172 cents the first week of September. Prices then decreased 4.25 cents to land at 117.922 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 0.167 cents to land at 118.089 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2021, the September 2022 prices were 23.333 cents lower.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-August posted price was 111.698 cents/gal. The next week, the price increased by 6.95 cents to 118.648 cents, followed by a 2.95-cent decrease to 115.698 cents the first week of September. Prices then decreased 2.7 cents to land at 112.998 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased another 0.3 cents to land at 112.698 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2021, the September 2022 prices were 22.7 cents lower.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-August period at 108 cents/gal. The next week, the price increased by 3.75 cents to 111.75 cents, followed by a 3.5-cent decrease to 108.25 cents the first week of September. Prices then decreased 3.25 cents to land at 105 the next week. At mid-month, they fell another 1.75 cents to land at 103.25 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2021, the September 2022 prices were 28.25 cents lower.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-August period at 107.5 cents/gal. The next week, the price increased by 3.25 cents to 110.75 cents, followed by a 3-cent decrease to 107.75 cents the first week of September. Prices then decreased 1.75 cents to land at 106 the next week. At mid-month, they fell another 2 cents to land at 104 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2021, the September 2022 prices were 27.5 cents lower.
