During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased. The posted prices decreased 10.5 cents/gal, from April mid-month to May mid-month, and the spot prices decreased 11 cents. Conway, Kansas, postings increased 8.7 cents/gal, and spots decreased 8 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-April posted price was 88.730 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased 2.166 cents to 86.564 cents, followed by a 2.75-cent decrease to 83.814 cents the first week of May. Prices then decreased 5.167 cents to 78.647 cents the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased 0.417 cents to 78.230 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2023, the May 2024 prices were 4.6 cents higher.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-April posted price was 80.576 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased 2.198 cents to 78.378 cents, followed by a 3.052-cent decrease to 75.326 cents the first week of May. Prices then decreased 3.05 cents to 72.276 cents the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased 0.4 cents to 71.876 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2023, the May 2024 prices were 1.628 cents higher.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spots opened mid-April at 77 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 1 cent to 76 cents, followed by a 4.875-cent decrease to 71.125 cents the first week of May. Prices then decreased 3.125 cents to 68 cents the next week. At mid-month, they fell 2 cents to 66 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2023, the May 2024 prices were 3 cents higher.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened mid-April at 73.5 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 0.25 cents to 73.25 cents, followed by a 4.25-cent decrease to 69 cents the first week of May. Prices then decreased 3 cents to 66 cents the next week. At mid-month, they fell 0.5 cents to 65.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2023, the May 2024 prices were 2 cents higher.
