HOUSTON — Phillips 66 has named its current president and chief operating officer (COO), Mark Lashier, as president and CEO, effective July 1.

Canton, Mass. (April 11, 2022) — Gray, Gray & Gray LLP, a consulting and accounting firm serving the propane industry, has opened its 2022 Propane Survey. This is the firm’s sixth year for their national propane survey. Rye Brook, NY (April 14, 2022) – Paraco Gas has appointed Donna Howay to director, supply chain management.

Howay, a seasoned industry leader with 18 years with Paraco, will expand her scope of procurement responsibilities to include product supply. Donna has previously held roles in showroom sales, inside sales, customer service, service, regional manager, special projects, and purchasing manager.

NATIONAL — Arrow Tank and Engineering, a family-owned business, has served the propane industry since 1959. In March, the company opened a new facility in Grand Island, Nebraska, to better serve its customers. The scope of work includes bobtail and transport repair for LPG, NH3 refined fuels and fertilizer, PVKI testing, ASME code repair, meter calibration and parts.

Macon, Ga. (March 31, 2022) — Blue Bird Corporation, a technology leader and innovator in electric and low-emission school buses, announced the appointment of Jim Nelles as senior vice president, global supply chain management, with immediate effect.

Whippany, N.J. (April 7, 2022) — Suburban Propane Partners L.P., a nationwide distributor of propane, renewable propane, fuel oil and related products and services, as well as a marketer of natural gas and electricity and investor in low carbon fuel alternatives, joined forces with the Washington Capitals to celebrate the team's Go Green Night on April 6. The Baker Hughes International Rig Count is up two rigs from last month to 815, with land rigs down four to 621, offshore rigs up six to 194.

The Baker Hughes United States Rig Count is up three from last week to 673, with oil rigs up two to 533, gas up one to 138 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at two.

TORONTO — Superior Plus Corp. announced the successful closing of its previously announced bought deal equity offering of 25,670,300 common shares at a price of $11.20 per share, for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $288 million. The offering included 3,348,300 shares issued pursuant to the exercise in full by the underwriters of their over-allotment option.

LAWRENCE, Mass. (April 5, 2022) – Energy North Group (ENG) announced that its tradition of fundraising on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association has continued for the 18^th consecutive year.

The monies raised throughout the campaign are used to fund research and care initiatives for those living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases, as well as to fund children’s time at MDA Summer Camp. HOUSTON (March 24, 2022) — KBR and ExxonMobil Catalysts and Licensing LLC will collaborate to bring significant advancements to propane dehydrogenation (PDH) technology.

Under the collaboration, ExxonMobil's new proprietary catalyst technology will be combined with KBR's proprietary K-PRO Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) technology to convert propane into propylene. Enabled by the superior performance of ExxonMobil's new catalyst, the combined technology solution could offer financial savings compared to PDH technologies currently available.

NEW YORK (March 31, 2022) — Meritus Gas Partners announced that it has entered into a partnership with Specialty Products and Leasing Inc. (SPL), a wholesale producer and packager of hydrocarbon gases located in Taft, California. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TORONTO (March 28, 2022) — Superior Plus Corp. announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the retail propane distribution and refined fuels assets of Quarles Petroleum Inc. for an aggregate purchase price of approximately US$145 million (CA$180 million) before adjustments for working capital.

The acquisition, which is subject to customary regulatory and commercial closing conditions, is anticipated to close in the second quarter of 2022.
