Neenah, Wis. — Over 90% of respondents said they often or sometimes have issues with their employees following proper personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. This eye-opening statistic was revealed in a recent J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights study on PPE pain points.
Underlying factors that contributed to PPE noncompliance were lack of adequate sizing, heat stress, and supply chain disruptions.
Key Study Findings
Canada's primary underground propane inventories increased by 5.14% in October, according to the Canada Energy Regulator. The total represented a month-to-month increase of 90 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 182.2 Mcm, or 9.01%, less product on hand.
During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we get further into fall. The posted prices decreased 21.5 cents/gal, from September mid-month to October mid-month while the spot prices decreased 21.375 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 21.25-cent decrease and spots decreased 20.75 cents over the month.
Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of Harbor Point Energy Products headquartered in Frankfort, New York.
Harbor Point Energy, which was founded in 2007, provides a full range of energy products and services to nearly 6,000 customers across seven counties in East Central New York. Principal owner John DesJardins has a long history in the energy industry and will remain with the company to spearhead the transition. All Harbor Point employees will join EDP.
The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects most U.S. households will pay more to heat their homes this winter. In its "2022 Winter Fuels Outlook," EIA forecasts higher U.S. residential energy prices compared with last winter, as well as higher consumption of heating fuels during what is forecast to be a slightly colder winter than last year.
