Prairie Hills Transit Unveils First-Ever Propane Buses

Prairie Hills Transit will showcase its new low-emission buses equipped with advanced propane autogas technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to view a fuel demonstration and ride in one of the new propane buses. 

The event highlights a shift in the transit industry away from diesel and gasoline toward buses powered by environmentally friendly alternative fuels. Vehicles that run on propane autogas emit fewer greenhouse gases, smog-producing hydrocarbons, and particulate emissions than conventional fuels.

Ocean Springs, Miss. — Jan. 25, 2023 — BioLPG LLC, based in Washington, D.C., and rLPG North America, based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, have announced their partnership to support and collaborate in further development of the renewables-sourced, green bioLPG-producing, Cool LPG process invented by GTI Energy.

rLPG North America joins European LPG sector leaders Green LG Energy S.r.l. and Friedrich Scharr KG as funders of Cool LPG technology research. The parties intend to engage in bioLPG production at scale.
