WAUKESHA, Wis. (Sept. 20, 2021) — Generac Holdings Inc., a global designer and manufacturer of energy technology solutions and other power products, announced the signing of a purchase agreement to acquire the shares of Tank Utility Inc., a provider of IoT propane tank monitoring that enables the optimization of propane fuel logistics.

The deal further expands Generac’s connectivity functionality and services with sophisticated remote monitoring capabilities for propane.

FREDERICK, MD. (Sept. 17th, 2021) — ThompsonGas LLC, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, announced the acquisition of the Polar Gas LLC, serving eight different locations in Colorado. ThompsonGas is proud to welcome their customers and employees to the ThompsonGas family.

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced the acquisition of ProGas, which serves more than 3,500 customers throughout the greater Pittsburgh area from offices in Aliquippa and Zelienople. ProGas was launched in 2000 and provides propane services across western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia.

Canada’s primary underground propane inventories increased by 8.8% in September, according to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The total represented a month-to-month increase of 160.1 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 362.6 Mcm, or 15.5%, less product on hand. 

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Sept. 10, 2021) — Predictions calling for a sixth-straight year of above-normal hurricane activity in 2021 offer a sobering reminder of last year’s hurricane season, which was the fifth costliest on record.  

DALLAS (Sept. 14, 2021) — EnLink Midstream LLC announced that it donated 50,000 gallons of propane to support residents of Southeast Louisiana experiencing extended power outages as a result of Hurricane Ida.

Sonariot, provider of Mopeka Products sonar tank monitoring solutions, and IPS have announced the signing of their partnership. This partnership will extend IPS’s product offering to their customer network across the Midwestern United States.

Ferrellgas announced it has named Megan Sharp, who has spent the last 15 years in various Ferrellgas leadership roles, vice president of operations support.

The Baker Hughes United States Rig Count is down 11 from last week to 497, with oil rigs down 16 to 394, gas rigs up five to 102, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at one.

The U.S. Rig Count is up 241 rigs from last year's count of 256, with oil rigs up 213 gas rigs up 30 and miscellaneous rigs down two to one.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 13 to two, down 13 year over year.

MACON, Ga. — Blue Bird Corporation announced that it has appointed Razvan Radulescu as chief financial officer (CFO).

Radulescu has over 20 years of financial and operating experience at Daimler Trucks, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility in finance and controlling, as well as procurement, including IT and compliance.

DOVER, Del. (Sept. 7, 2021) — Chesapeake Utilities Corporation has announced that Alexander Whitelam has joined the company as head of investor relations. 

HOUSTON — Phillips 66 announced it will contribute an additional $500,000 to the American Red Cross to assist relief efforts in the states affected by Hurricane Ida and its remnants. The latest donation brings the company’s total contribution to the organization’s Ida relief efforts to $1 million.

WOOD DALE, Ill., (Aug. 30, 2021) — Power Solutions International Inc. (PSI), a company focused on the design, engineering and manufacture of emissions-certified engines and power systems, announced that it has entered into a master development and collaboration agreement with Hexagon Agility.

Hexagon Agility is a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and supply of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) fuel systems used in medium vehicles.

Streetsboro, Ohio (Sept. 1, 2021) — Load handling equipment provider Hiab today announces the establishment of a second production facility in Streetsboro, Ohio, for its Moffett and Princeton truck-mounted forklifts, where the company currently makes tail lifts, sold under the Waltco brand.

It will also develop a new factory in Dundalk, County Louth, for its truck-mounted forklift manufacturing operations. When operational in 2023, the new facility will replace Hiab’s existing Dundalk facility.

KENT, Conn. (Aug. 26, 2021) — Cetane Associates LLC has announced that HOP Energy LLC, White Plains, New York, has acquired certain assets related to the operations of Dominick Fuel Inc., a full-service heating fuels delivery business located in Norwalk, Connecticut. The transaction closed on Aug. 19, 2021.

Bayshore, N.Y. (August 9, 2021) – Blue Peak Resources has announced the sale of StarLite Propane, of Bayshore, New York, to Ferrellgas, headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.

Martinsburg, Penn. — Curry Supply Company is pleased to announce that Esber Nassif has joined Curry Supply as senior director of supply chain.

In this new role, Nassif is responsible for the company’s overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of materials, managing vendor relationships and development, inbound and outbound logistics, and sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) process.
