During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu continued to increase as we get further from winter. The posted prices increased 9.083 cents/gal, from January mid-month to February mid-month while the spot prices increased 10.125 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 6.65-cent increase and spots increased 8 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-January posted price was 129.839 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 2.667 cents to 132.506 cents, followed by a 14-cent increase to 146.506 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 10.25 cents to land at 136.256 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 2.667 cents to land at 138.922 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2021, the February 2022 prices were 16.416 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan. mid-January posted price was 124.598 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 3.95 cents to 128.548 cents, followed by a 13.9-cent increase to 142.448 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 13.9 cents to land at 128.548 the following week. At mid-month, postings increased 2.7 cents to land at 131.248 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2021, the February 2022 prices were 57.899 cents lower.

 

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-January period at 117.375 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 3.25 cents to 120.625 cents, followed by a 5.125-cent increase to 125.75 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 1.25 cents to land at 124.5 the following week. At mid-month, they rose 3 cents to land at 127.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2021, the February 2022 prices were 27.5 cents lower.

Conway Spots

Conway spots opened the mid-January period at 118.0 cents/gal. The next week the price increased 2 cents to 120.0 cents, followed by a 6.5-cent increase to 126.5 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 5.5 cents to land at 121.0 the following week. At mid-month, they rose 5 cents to land at 126.0 cents/gal.
