Lisle, lll. (Feb. 10, 2022) – Propane retailer DCC Propane LLC finalized its second deal of a Colorado-based company in as many months with the acquisition of JC Propane. The deal for the Delta, Colorado-based company was completed on Dec. 20, and comes just seven weeks after DCC acquired Affordable Propane, which is located approximately 350 miles east in Fort Morgan.
Founded in 1998, JC Propane serves approximately 7,000 customers throughout four locations mainly in western Colorado. JC primarily serves residential customers, but also has commercial, agricultural and dispenser accounts. With JC’s additional customers now in the fold, DCC serves a total of nearly 18,000 in Colorado.
DCC Propane CEO Matt Dantinne said the propane market in Colorado has increased in recent years, which is one of the reasons acquiring JC became so appealing.
“We are excited with the acquisition of JC Propane as this expands our geographic presence into the very attractive steady growth market of the western Colorado Rocky Mountains,” Dantinne said. “We greatly look forward to continuing to provide exceptional customer service to the nearly 7,000 customers of this business.”
In addition to DCC acquiring JC Propane’s entire fleet of vehicles, two dozen current JC employees will be joining the DCC team as part of the acquisition.
“We are happy to welcome these new members to our DCC team,” Dantinne said. “They bring a wealth of experience and have a proven track record of providing outstanding customer care.”
JC Propane joins the aforementioned Affordable Propane as well as Blue Flame Propane and Enviro Gas as the fourth Colorado-based propane supplier acquired by DCC since the start of 2020. Deluca Gas, a fifth propane supplier owned by DCC in Colorado, is headquartered in Poncha Springs.
