During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu saw a decrease as we get closer to the end of summer. The posted prices decreased 6.5 cents/gal, from July mid-month to August mid-month while the spot prices decreased 3.875 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 6.05-cent decrease and spots decreased 2.25 cents over the month.
Canada's primary underground propane inventories increased by 19.79% in August, according to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The total represented a month-to-month increase of 233.3 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 401.5 Mcm, or 22.13%, less product on hand.

Tulsa, Okla. (Aug. 8, 2022) — NGL Energy Partners LP announced the completion of the Ambassador Pipeline in the state of Michigan. The Ambassador Pipeline System consists of a 225-mile bi-directional pipeline with multiple supply and delivery points. The Ambassador Pipeline connects central, northern and western Michigan propane customers to millions of gallons of underground storage capacity in Eastern Michigan. NGL’s Wheeler Terminal is strategically located at the mid-point of the pipeline and includes on-site storage of 480,000 gallons of propane.
Washington (Aug. 10 2022) — Delayed planting in many states may cause high moisture corn to be a common challenge this harvest, requiring longer periods of grain drying than average. Due to increased uncertainty, the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) recommends participating in early tank fill programs before peak harvest demand.
Kent, Conn. (Aug. 11, 2022) — Cetane Associates LLC announced that Blossman Gas Inc. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, has acquired the full-service propane delivery business of Wigley Propane LLC of Jasper, Georgia. The transaction closed on Aug. 5, 2022.
Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) has announced a partnership with Barrett Propane located in Prescott, Arizona. Barrett Propane provides propane service to more than 4,500 customers in Prescott and the surrounding area. Barrett Propane was owned by Dave Barrett, Malcolm Barrett and Brian Petrovich.

NATIONAL — Mark Lashier has officially stepped into his new role as president and CEO of Phillips 66, 33 years after he started his career as a research engineer in the labs of Phillips Petroleum.
Lashier takes over from Greg Garland, who is stepping down after 10 years as CEO but staying on as executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. Lashier came to Phillips 66 in April 2021 after four years as CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, in which Phillips 66 owns a 50% stake.
