NATIONAL (Sept. 23, 2022) — Women in Propane (WIP), an official business council of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), is looking to propel the propane industry further with a new podcast titled "Through the Leadership Lens."

WASHINGTON (Sept. 27, 2022) — The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is encouraging propane autogas fleet operators to take advantage of the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit, which was recently passed by the U.S. Congress as part of the Inflation Reduction Act, 2022.

KENT, Conn. (September 27, 2022) — Cetane Associates LLC is pleased to announce that Colby & Gale Inc., a corporation based in Damariscotta, Maine, has acquired the propane, distillates and HVAC service business of M.W. Sewall Inc., headquartered in Bath, Maine. The transaction closed on Sept. 20, 2022.

Superior Plus Propane’s vice president of operations support, Marc Schoone, passed away on Aug. 28, 2022, at the age of 47 due to a recent illness.

Lock America Inc. of Corona, California, has announced that Robert Chen has been named as the company’s new national sales manager.

Synergy Commodity has announced the hiring of Arthur Ravo as senior advisor. Ravo has more than 32 years of experience in propane supply and hedging with Paraco Gas Corp. Ravo will utilize his experience to serve propane clients and to win new business.

Chicago, Illinois-based Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) announced that John Casper has joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO).

Canada's primary underground propane inventories increased by 23.88% in September, according to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The total represented a month-to-month increase of 337.3 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 224.3 Mcm, or 11.36%, less product on hand. 

During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, were mixed as we head into fall. The posted prices increased 0.583 cents/gal, from August mid-month to September mid-month while the spot prices decreased 4.75 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 1-cent increase and spots decreased 3.5 cents over the month.

WOOD DALE, Ill. (Aug. 29, 2022) — Power Solutions International Inc. announced that Xun (Kenneth) Li has joined the company as its chief financial officer (CFO), effective Aug. 29, 2022. Li succeeds Matthew Thomas, who has served as interim CFO since April 2022. Thomas will resume his role as corporate controller.

WYOMING, Minn. (Sept 14, 2022) — Lakes Gas, headquartered in Wyoming, Minnesota, announced it has acquired the propane operations of Blackhawk Propane in South Beloit, Illinois.

LIBERTY, Mo. (Sept. 8, 2022) — Now in its 30^th year, the Ferrellgas Scholarship Program provides scholarship funds to the dependent children of employees of Ferrellgas and its Blue Rhino propane tank brand.

Teeco Products will host an open house and customer training day on Oct. 27, 2022, at Teeco's Sacramento, California, location — located at 7471 Reese Road. 

Attendees will begin the day at 8 a.m. with a quick visit to the registration desk and cup of coffee, and then head off to their first training session at 8:30. They will rotate through six product training sessions — all provided by industry professionals — with a break in the middle for Teeco's Industry Appreciation Luncheon and time to visit exhibitor booths at the open house.

(September 2, 2022) — The Baker Hughes United States rig count is down five to 760 rigs week over week, with oil rigs down nine to 596, gas rigs up four to 162 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at two.

HOUSTON & LONDON (Sept. 6, 2022) — Baker Hughes Company has announced it is restructuring and simplifying its organization and accelerating its strategic transformation. 

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Grammer Logistics announced that it has appointed Scott Dobak as CEO. Concurrent with Dobak’s appointment, he will also join Grammer’s board of directors.

Canton, Mass. (Aug. 29, 2022) — Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP has released the results of the firm’s 2022 Propane Industry Survey.

TRENTON, N.J. (Aug. 31, 2022) — New Jersey consumers deserve to know what electric conversion mandates will cost them under the State's Energy Master Plan and other related energy programs, according to regulatory comments filed by the New Jersey Propane Gas Association (NJPGA).

Kansas City (Aug. 30, 2022) — Lettermen’s Energy Holdings (LEH) announced the acquisition of Victory Propane. Based in Northbrook, Illinois, Victory significantly expands LEH’s operational footprint in the cold-weather markets of Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Terms of the deal were not announced, though Victory’s principal executive leadership, Gregg Falberg, Eric Falberg and David Florsheim, will join LEH in advisory roles and assist the company with future strategic initiatives. 

Newell, W.Va. (Aug. 26, 2022) — Marsh Bellofram announced several management changes with an eye on bringing sharper focus and clarity to its numerous businesses and market segments, and to better position the company for the future.  

John Gorrell has been named the new president of Marsh Bellofram, having previously served as chief operating officer.

Peoria, Ariz. (Aug. 29, 2022) — Taronis Fuels Inc. has resolved a proceeding that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission filed on Aug. 25, 2022. Without admitting or denying the SEC’s allegations, Taronis Fuels consented to be permanently enjoined from violations of certain provisions of the federal securities laws and agreed to pay disgorgement in the amount of $4,876,023, plus prejudgment interest in the amount of $231,877.50, for a total of $5,107,900.50.
