NATIONAL — Transworld M&A Advisors advised Rycor HVAC as it completed its merger with HOP Energy LLC, a portfolio company of Delos Capital. HOP Energy is a residential and commercial full-service energy provider. Rycor HVAC, is a full-service reseller of Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump systems in the Northeast.

Washington (Aug. 2, 2022) — Hi Pro Inc., a nationwide mail logistics contractor with a 40-year history of servicing the United States Postal Service, celebrated the launch of its propane autogas vehicle fleet at a ribbon cutting ceremony in Commerce City, Colorado. During the ceremony, Hi Pro Inc. CEO Joshua Stoneback unveiled the five, class 6 ultra-low nitrogen oxide (NOx) box trucks and state-of-the-art propane autogas infrastructure that will reduce emissions in the Denver metro.

NATIONAL — Mark Lashier has officially stepped into his new role as president and CEO of Phillips 66, 33 years after he started his career as a research engineer in the labs of Phillips Petroleum. 

Lashier takes over from Greg Garland, who is stepping down after 10 years as CEO but staying on as executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. Lashier came to Phillips 66 in April 2021 after four years as CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, in which Phillips 66 owns a 50% stake.

Harrisburg, Penn. — The Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association (PAPGA) announced its members have elected Hugh A Rich, III, Richgas, Kane, PA as the new president. His term is for two years.

New Providence, N.J. (July 25, 2022) — Anova announced that Matthew “Matt” Toone has been appointed CEO. An experienced and entrepreneurial business leader, Toone succeeds Chet Reshamwala and has assumed responsibilities as of July 18.

Columbus, OH and Bedford, MA (June 22, 2022) — Worthington Industries Inc. announced an expansion of its partnership with F.W. Webb Company, the largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), refrigeration, pipe, valves and fittings in the Northeast, to offer their revolutionary SmartLid remote tank monitoring system.

Marshall Excelsior (MEC) announced that it has welcomed John Gregg to the sales team as the new western United States/Canada sales manager. John joins MEC after 10 years of sales experience within the LPG industry as both a territory sales representative and a regional sales manager covering the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. He is based out of Colbert, Washington, and will be providing hands-on support, technical training and sales/marketing support, in addition to being a general liaison to all customers located in western Canada and the western U.S..

Faure Announces Retirement

After 32 years with FEI Inc., Joe Faure has announced his retirement from his position as vice president of the propane division. His official retirement date will be Dec. 31, 2022.

Canada's primary underground propane inventories increased by 34.57% in July, according to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The total represented a month-to-month increase of 302.9 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 330.1 Mcm, or 21.87%, less product on hand. 

During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu continued to decrease in the summer. The posted prices decreased 4.5 cents/gal, from June mid-month to July mid-month while the spot prices decreased 9.875 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 4.35-cent decrease and spots decreased 9 cents over the month.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (July 11, 2022) — Westport Fuel Systems Inc. announced that it has been awarded a program to develop and supply liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) systems for a number of vehicle applications for a global original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The deal is forecasted to provide €38 million in revenue through the end of 2025, with production expected to begin in Q4 2023.

(July 7, 2022) — Medford Cooperative announced the purchase of the Clark C-Store located in Stetsonville, Wisconsin, and the Stetsonville Oil Bulk Fuel Operations located in Medford, Wisconsin. The tire and auto business is not a part of the sale and will continue operations at a new location within Stetsonville. The transition of ownership is expected to take place in July.

KENT, Conn. (July 7, 2022) — Cetane Associates LLC announced that TexNJ Energy LLC (DBA Weaver Fuels) of Allentown, Pennsylvania, has acquired the business operations of Apgar Oil Co. Inc., a full-service heating fuels delivery business, and Apgar’s discount brand, Thrifty Fuel, also located in Allentown. The transaction closed on June 30.
