In its monthly update to its Winter Fuels Outlook, EIA expects that winter heating prices for U.S. households will stay flat or decrease this season, dependent on the households’ regions and the main fuels they use for heating.
NATIONAL — The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects global liquid fuels production to increase by 1 million barrels per day next year. EIA expects OPEC+ production cuts will remain in place through the end of 2024 and offset non-OPEC production growth. EIA expects a slight decline in global oil inventories in early 2024.

Canada's primary underground propane inventories increased by 8.17% in October, according to the Canada Energy Regulator. The total represented a month-to-month increase of 135.3 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were lower, with 47.7 Mcm, or 2.59%, less product on hand.

During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we head deeper into fall. The posted prices decreased 7.667 cents/gal, from September mid-month to October mid-month, and the spot prices decreased 8.75 cents. Conway, Kan., postings decreased 8.874 cents/gal, and spots decreased 10.5 cents over the month.

Zionsville, Ind. (Oct. 10, 2023) — Zionsville Community Schools is now operating 33 new propane school buses that are 90% cleaner than the current Environmental Protection Agency’s standard for nitrogen oxides.
The fast-growing suburban public school district, which is located outside of Indianapolis, currently serves 8,000 students across nine campuses. To keep up with the community’s growth, the district increased bus routes using an alternative fuel that it knows and trusts: propane autogas.
