During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we head into winter. The posted prices decreased 6.834 cents/gal, from October mid-month to November mid-month, and the spot prices decreased 7.25 cents. Conway, Kan., postings decreased 8.833 cents/gal, and spots decreased 7.625 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-October posted price was 81.214 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased 4.084 cents to 77.130 cents, followed by a 2-cent increase to 79.130 cents the first week of November. Prices then decreased 4.666 cents to land at 74.464 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased another 0.084 cents to land at 74.380 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2022, the November 2023 prices were 17.708 cents lower.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-October posted price was 75.518 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 5.7 cents to 69.818 cents, followed by a 0.867-cent increase to 70.685 cents the first week of November. Prices then decreased 3.605 cents to land at 67.080 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased another 0.395 cents to land at 66.685 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2022, the November 2023 prices were 19.03 cents lower.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-October period at 69 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 4.5 cents to 64.5 cents, followed by a 0.25-cent decrease to 64.25 cents the first week of November. Prices then decreased 1.875 cents to land at 62.375 the next week. At mid-month, they fell another 0.625 cents to land at 61.75 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2022, the November 2023 prices were 15.625 cents lower.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-October period at 67.625 cents/gal. The next week the price fell 4.125 cents to 63.5 cents, followed by a 0.625-cent decrease to 62.875 cents the first week of November. Prices then decreased 2.125 cents to land at 60.75 the next week. At mid-month, they fell another 0.75 cents to land at 60 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2022, the November 2023 prices were 18.375 cents lower.
