During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu decreased as we advance through the spring. The posted prices decreased by 8.334 cents/gal, from April mid-month to May mid-month, while the spot prices decreased 10.75 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 7.85-cent decrease and spots decreased 6.75 cents over the month.

Mont Belvieu Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-April posted price was 143.506 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 2.25 cents to 141.256 cents, followed by a 3.084-cent decrease to 138.172 cents the last week of April. Prices then decreased 0.666 cents to land at 137.506 the first week of May. At mid-month, postings decreased 2.334 cents to land at 135.172 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2021, the May 2022 prices were 42.75 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan. mid-April posted price was 137.098 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 3.55 cents to 133.548 cents, followed by a 1.55-cent decrease to 131.998 cents the last week of April. Prices then increased 0.25 cents to land at 132.248 the first week of May. At mid-month, postings decreased 3 cents to land at 129.248 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2021, the May 2022 prices were 43.901 cents higher.

 

 

Mont Belvieu Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-April period at 133.000 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 3 cents to 130.000 cents, followed by a 3.25-cent decrease to 126.750 cents the last week of April. Prices then decreased 1.25 cents to land at 125.500 the first week of May. At mid-month, they fell another 3.25 cents to land at 122.250 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in May 2021, the May 2022 prices were 42.75 cents higher.

Conway Spots

Conway spots opened the mid-April period at 127.250 cents/gal. The next week the price increased 0.25 cents to 127.500 cents, followed by a 4-cent decrease to 123.500 cents the last week of April. Prices then increased 2 cents to land at 125.500 the first week of May. At mid-month, they fell 5 cents to land at 120.500 cents/gal.
