During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, increased. The posted prices increased 6.167 cents/gal, from January mid-month to February mid-month, and the spot prices increased 5 cents. Conway, Kansas, postings increased 5.828 cents/gal, and spots increased 6.5 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-January posted price was 98.647 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased 0.333 cents to 98.314 cents, followed by a 5.916-cent increase to 104.23 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 1.083 cents to land at 103.147 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 1.667 cents to land at 104.814 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2023, the February 2024 prices were 10.392 cents higher.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-January posted price was 87.608 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 0.562 cents to 88.17 cents, followed by a 4.186-cent increase to 92.356 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 0.061 cents to land at 92.295 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 1.141 cents to land at 93.436 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2023, the February 2024 prices were 9.988 cents higher.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-January period at 89.5 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 2.125 cents to 87.375 cents, followed by a 5.625-cent increase to 93 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 2.25 cents to land at 90.75 the next week. At mid-month, they rose 3.75 cents to land at 94.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2023, the February 2024 prices were 11.875 cents higher.
Conway
Spots Conway spots opened the mid-January period at 81 cents/gal. The next week the price rose by 1.75 cents to 82.75 cents, followed by a 2.75-cent increase to 85.5 cents the first week of February. Prices then increased 0.75 cents to land at 86.25 the next week. At mid-month, they rose 1.25 cents to land at 87.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2023, the February 2024 prices were 9.25 cents higher.
