During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we hit the mid-winter. The posted prices decreased 6.417 cents/gal, from January mid-month to February mid-month while the spot prices decreased 6.875 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 10.5-cent decrease and spots decreased 10.25 cents over the month.

Mont Belvieu Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-January posted price was 100.839 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 2.917 cents to 103.756 cents, followed by a 4.5-cent decrease to 99.256 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 3.667 cents to land at 95.589 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased 1.167 cents to land at 94.422 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2022, the February 2023 prices were 44.5 cents lower.

Conway Postings

The Conway mid-January posted price was 93.948 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 3.15 cents to 97.098 cents, followed by a 6.95-cent decrease to 90.148 cents the first week of February. Prices then decreased 4.9 cents to land at 85.248 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased 1.8 cents to land at 83.448 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2022, the February 2023 prices were 47.8 cents lower.

 

 

Mont Belvieu Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-January period at 89.500 cents/gal. The next week the price rose by 3.875 cents to 93.375 cents, followed by a 11.875-cent decrease to 81.500 cents the first week of February. Prices then increased 3.125 cents to land at 84.625 the next week. At mid-month, they fell 2 cents to land at 82.625 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2022, the February 2023 prices were 44.875 cents lower.

Conway Spots

Conway spots opened the mid-January period at 88.500 cents/gal. The next week the price rose 1.75 cents to 90.250 cents, followed by a 12.5-cent decrease to 77.750 cents the first week of February. Prices then increased 1.75 cents to land at 79.500 the next week. At mid-month, they fell 1.25 cents to land at 78.250 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in February 2022, the February 2023 prices were 47.75 cents lower.
