During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu decreased as we head into winter. The posted prices decreased 16.583 cents/gal, from November mid-month to December mid-month while the spot prices decreased 17.375 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 15.3-cent decrease and spots decreased 14.5 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-November posted price was 98.922 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 5.083 cents to 93.839 cents, followed by a 3.833-cent decrease to 90.006 cents the first week of December. Prices then decreased 10 cents to land at 80.006 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 2.333 cents to land at 82.339 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in December 2021, the December 2022 prices were 34.25 cents lower.
Conway Postings
The Conway, Kan. mid-November posted price was 94.548 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 4.85 cents to 89.698 cents, followed by a 4.75-cent decrease to 84.948 cents the first week of December. Prices then decreased 9.15 cents to land at 75.798 the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 3.45 cents to land at 79.248 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in December 2021, the December 2022 prices were 32 cents lower.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-November period at 84.625 cents/gal. The next week the price dropped by 5.125 cents to 79.5 cents, followed by a 3.75-cent decrease to 75.75 cents the first week of December. Prices then decreased 11.25 cents to land at 64.5 the next week. At mid-month, they rose 2.75 cents to land at 67.25 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in December 2021, the December 2022 prices were 38 cents lower.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-November period at 86 cents/gal. The next week the price dropped by 4.25 cents to 81.75 cents, followed by a 2.75-cent decrease to 79 cents the first week of December. Prices then decreased 11.5 cents to land at 67.5 the next week. At mid-month, they rose 4 cents to land at 71.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in December 2021, the December 2022 prices were 35 cents lower.
