WASHINGTON (January 29, 2019) — A communication from the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) signed by association chairman Chris Earhart and Randy Thompson, chairman-elect, reports that NPGA president and CEO Rick Roldan will transition from his leadership position this year. The news emerged following the recent 2019 NPGA Winter Executive Committee meeting.
Noted was that Roldan and association officers have been in discussions for the past several months, and there is mutual agreement this is the right time for the change. “Roldan will be employed at NPGA through the remainder of 2019 and is committed to ensuring the seamless transition in leadership,” association leadership said. “We have already begun the search process for his successor.”
Noted was that Roldan has been associated with NPGA for 24 years and its leader for 17. “His contributions to the industry have helped to make propane the preferred energy source for consumers across the country. Our industry is truly a better one for his efforts,” the communication read.
Added was that, “Rick has developed a team of professionals at NPGA that is second to none. They are qualified and poised to carry us through the transition and beyond. We want to thank Rick for his commitment to the propane industry and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
