RYE BROOK, NY (November 5, 2021) — Paraco Gas announced that Sheila Rivera has joined Paraco Gas as director of human resources with deep experience in the transportation industry and a track record of establishing high-performing teams and culture as a human resources executive.
“The propane industry is facing unique challenges in recruitment and retention,” said Christina Armentano, executive vice president and third-generation family member at Paraco Gas. “Employees in our industry have different career aspirations, tend to utilize other forms of communication outside of today’s technology, and value different things compared to employees of other industries. Sheila truly understands the people who make the propane industry work.”
Rivera’s experience in the transportation industry means that she understands what motivates drivers and what they need to be safe, successful and fulfilled in their positions. At a time when driver shortages are making headlines across the country, retaining and attracting new drivers is incredibly important.
Rivera will also assist the team through coaching, development, improved communications and the capacity to train employees on compliance-related policies and procedures.
