During the latest midmonth period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we reach the end of winter. The posted prices decreased 10.25 cents/gal, from February mid-month to March midmonth while the spot prices decreased 13.875 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 9.55-cent decrease and spots decreased 12.5 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-February posted price was 94.422 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 1.25 cents to 93.172 cents, followed by a 6.417-cent increase to 99.589 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 1.583 cents to land at 98.006 the next week. At midmonth, postings decreased 13.834 cents to land at 84.172 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2022, the March 2023 prices were 53.75 cents lower.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-February posted price was 83.448 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 0.25 cents to 83.198 cents, followed by a 2.55-cent increase to 85.748 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 0.45 cents to land at 85.298 the next week. At midmonth, postings decreased 11.4 cents to land at 73.898 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2022, the March 2023 prices were 57.6 cents lower.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-February period at 82.625 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 2.375 cents to 80.250 cents, followed by a 7.75-cent increase to 88.000 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 5.5 cents to land at 82.500 the next week. At midmonth, they fell 13.75 cents to land at 68.750 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2022, the March 2023 prices were 63.25 cents lower.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-February period at 78.250 cents/gal. The next week the price fell 1.75 cents to 76.500 cents, followed by a 4.125-cent increase to 80.625 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 5.125 cents to land at 75.500 the next week. At midmonth, they fell 9.75 cents to land at 65.750 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2022, the March 2023 prices were 65.75 cents lower.
