During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased as we get further into fall. The posted prices decreased 21.5 cents/gal, from September mid-month to October mid-month while the spot prices decreased 21.375 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 21.25-cent decrease and spots decreased 20.75 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-September posted price was 118.089 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 9.083 cents to 109.006 cents, followed by a 9.917-cent decrease to 99.089 cents the fourth week. Prices then increased 2.5 cents to land at 101.589 the first week of October. At mid-month, postings decreased 5 cents to land at 96.589 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2021, the October 2022 prices were 58.75 cents lower.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-September posted price was 112.698 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 7 cents to 105.698 cents, followed by an 11.2-cent decrease to 94.498 cents the fourth week. Prices then increased 3.15 cents to land at 97.648 the first week of October. At mid-month, postings decreased 6.2 cents to land at 91.448 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2021, the October 2022 prices were 57.2 cents lower.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-September period at 103.25 cents/gal. The next week the price dropped by 9.25 cents to 94 cents, followed by a 7-cent decrease to 87 cents the fourth week. Prices then increased 4 cents to land at 91 the first week of October. At mid-month, they fell 9.125 cents to land at 81.875 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2021, the October 2022 prices were 62.25 cents lower.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-September period at 104 cents/gal. The next week the price dropped by 9.5 cents to 94.5 cents, followed by a 6.75-cent decrease to 87.75 cents the fourth week. Prices then increased 2.25 cents to land at 90 the first week of October. At mid-month, they fell 6.75 cents to land at 83.25 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2021, the October 2022 prices were 62 cents lower.
