During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu increased. The posted prices increased 14.083 cents/gal from December mid-month to January mid-month while the spot prices increased 9.625 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 14.5 cent increase and spots increased 9 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-December posted price was 116.589 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 2.167 cents to 114.422 cents, followed by an 8.25 cent increase to 122.672 cents the last week of December. Prices then increased 0.417 cents to land at 123.089 the first week of January. At mid-month, postings increased another 7.583 cents to land at 130.672 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in January 2021, the January 2022 prices were 30.165 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan. mid-December posted price was 111.248 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased by 1.8 cents to 109.448 cents, followed by a 7.85 cent increase to 117.298 cents the last week of December. Prices then decreased 0.576 cents to land at 116.722 the first week of January. At mid-month, postings increased another 9.026 cents to land at 125.748 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in January 2021, the January 2022 prices were 29.501 cents higher.

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-December period at 105.25 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 0.25 cents to 105.5 cents, followed by a 6-cent increase to 111.5 cents the last week of December. Prices then decreased 1.75 cents to land at 109.75 the first week of January. At mid-month, they rose another 5.125 cents to land at 114.875 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in January 2021, the January 2022 prices were 21.5 cents higher.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened the mid-December period at 106.5 cents/gal. The next week the price remained flat at 106.5 cents, followed by a 6-cent increase to 112.5 cents the last week of December. Prices then decreased 2.75 cents to land at 109.75 the first week of January. At mid-month, they rose another 5.75 cents to land at 115.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in January 2021, the January 2022 prices were 22.5 cents higher.
