During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu continued to mostly increase as we head into spring. The posted prices increased by 5.584 cents/gal, from March mid-month to April mid-month, while the spot prices increased 1 cent. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 5.6-cent increase and spots decreased 4.25 cents over the month.

Mont Belvieu Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-March posted price was 137.922 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 19.5 cents to 157.422 cents, followed by a 2.666-cent decrease to 154.756 cents the last week of March. Prices then decreased 14.584 cents to land at 140.172 the first week of April. At mid-month, postings increased 3.334 cents to land at 143.506 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in April 2021, the April 2022 prices were 53.5 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan. mid-March posted price was 131.498 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 21.05 cents to 152.548 cents, followed by a 4.45-cent decrease to 148.098 cents the last week of March. Prices then decreased 13.3 cents to land at 134.798 the first week of April. At mid-month, postings increased 2.3 cents to land at 137.098 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in April 2021, the April 2022 prices were 57.951 cents higher.

 

Mont Belvieu Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-March period at 132.000 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 14.5 cents to 146.500 cents, followed by a 9.5-cent decrease to 137.000 cents the last week of March. Prices then decreased 13.75 cents to land at 123.250 the first week of April. At mid-month, they rose 9.75 cents to land at 133.000 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in April 2021, the April 2022 prices were 55.375 cents higher.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened the mid-March period at 131.500 cents/gal. The next week the price increased 12.25 cents to 143.750 cents, followed by a 6.75-cent decrease to 137.000 cents the last week of March. Prices then decreased 14.75 cents to land at 122.250 the first week of April. At mid-month, they rose 5 cents to land at 127.250 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in April 2021, the April 2022 prices were 55.625 cents higher.
