GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Nov. 21, 2025) — Crystal Flash, a 100% employee-owned and Michigan-based fuel distribution company, announced the launch of its newest fleet of propane delivery vehicles, affectionately dubbed the "Bessie" bobtails. These distinctive trucks, painted with the iconic black and white spots of a Holstein cow, serve as a highly visible and fun representation of one of the company’s three core community pillars: Agriculture & Rural Life Advancement.
The "Bessie" fleet encourages support for Michigan's vital farming industry and aims to foster meaningful conversations about the importance of local agriculture.
Crystal Flash’s support of the agriculture industry is deeply rooted, stretching back decades across the communities it serves. The company recognizes the fundamental importance of agriculture to every person and has formalized this commitment through its Agriculture & Rural Life Advancement community support pillar. With this commitment, Crystal Flash actively supports organizations and initiatives that promote sustainable farming practices, agricultural education and youth participation. This includes long-standing contributions to local 4-H programs, FFA chapters, Michigan Farm Bureau, and agriculture-based county fairs.
"Our commitment to the future of Michigan agriculture and rural life is unwavering. These 'Bessie' bobtails are more than just delivery vehicles; they are a daily, visible reminder of the essential role our farmers play in our state," said Brad Gandy, president and CEO of Crystal Flash. "We hope every time someone sees one of these fun trucks, it sparks a conversation about supporting local farms and helps reinforce the critical importance of this industry to all of us."
