In addition to organizing the annual World LPG Forum, the World LPG Association (WLPGA) offers a number of other activities and resources that are available to propane professionals and consumers year-round.
Headquartered in France, the WLPGA has the primary goal of adding value to the global LPG industry by driving premium demand for LPG, while also promoting compliance to good business and safety practices. The group’s activities include global outreach and advocacy; technology exchange; good practices; market development, outreach, and promotion; and member services. Member benefits include unique global networking opportunities; possible assistance with specific lobbying actions; privileged access to industry intelligence; access to dedicated network groups run by WLPGA; and preferential rates to attend and/or exhibit at the World LPG Forum and other industry events organized by WLPGA.
“Membership in the World LPG Association is open to all companies, regardless of size or country of operation,” says James Rockall, CEO and managing director of the WLPGA. “Most of our members operate at a national level and everyone will find value in participating.
“While the World LPG Forum is important, there is so much more that we do,” he added. “Access to exclusive intelligence and access to a network of key individuals operating in some 130 countries around the world provide ample return on investment. But beyond this, WLPGA organizes workshops in regions and countries focusing on specific issues or end-use segments. WLPGA members can be involved in working groups developing new research or new advocacy potions, members can ask WLPGA directly for support on technical, commercial, or policy issues and all this is available all year-round. Members also have exclusive access to content that is not available to the general public.
“The first point of call should be the WLPGA website (www.wlpga.org) which is a treasure-trove of information for anyone interested in the LPG industry.”
