The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) will host an interactive activity with prize giveaways at its Booth #5591 that will help participants visualize the emissions reductions offered by autogas vehicles.

“New emissions data is showing that propane autogas fleet vehicles are reducing greenhouse gas, nitrogen oxide, and sulfur oxide emissions compared to other fuels, and we have some things planned in our booth for attendees to highlight these impressive data points,” said Michael Taylor, director of autogas business development at PERC. “We invite show attendees to stop by the PERC booth, learn a little about propane autogas vehicles, and have some fun in the process.”

The council will also have autogas vehicles and equipment on display, including:
  • Ford F-650 from ROUSH CleanTech,
  • Ford F-150 from Alliance AutoGas,
  • General Motors chassis from Power Solutions International, and;
  • Autogas dispenser from Superior Energy Systems.
Another way those attending the NTEA Work Truck Show can learn about the benefits of autogas will be during the event’s Green Truck Summit on March 7th. Taylor will host an educational session at 8:00 a.m., March 7th, titled “A Clean Fuel at the Best Overall Cost” that will focus on propane’s role in cost-effective emissions reductions for fleets of all sizes. Fleet managers will be present to provide first-hand accounts of their own experiences operating propane autogas vehicles.

Now more than ever, the propane industry needs its members to voice their support for propane autogas! With many states seeking public input on how to use available funds from the Volkswagen Settlement, a resounding response in favor of propane autogas from industry members and others will help secure funding support. Please submit your comments in support of propane autogas and encourage other industry members to do the same at http://vwclearinghouse.org/.

The propane industry needs your help! The more awareness can be increased among fleet owners, managers, and others of the benefits of using propane autogas to reduce emissions and lower the total economic cost-of-ownership for fleets to increase opportunities for the propane industry to benefit from VW settlement funds.

PERC needs your help! If you will be attending the NTEA Work Truck Show please consider volunteering at the PERC booth.
