(August 20, 2018) — MFA Oil Co. (Columbia, Mo.), a farmer-owned energy supply cooperative, has acquired the propane and farm fuel operations of Frazier Oil & LP Gas Co. Inc., an independent retailer based in Gower, Mo. The deal, of which details were not released, closed Aug. 2. Frazier Oil has served residential, agricultural, and commercial customers in Buchanan, Clinton, and Platte counties since 1969.

“Frazier Oil’s propane and farm fuel business is a natural fit for our company and we are excited to welcome their customers,” said Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing. “We are really pleased to have found such an ideal fit for this aspect of our business,” added Scott Frazier, president of Frazier Oil. “MFA Oil has a great team of people along with the resources and technology to take care of our long-time customers. They offer great service and will improve our operations, which is a great opportunity for our customers.”

MFA Oil plans to serve its newly acquired customers from its existing locations in Platte City and St. Joseph, Mo. The acquisition is the seventh for MFA this fiscal year. Earlier, it added Callaway Propane LLC of Fulton, Mo.; Raines Oil Co. of Senath, Mo.; Cardie Oil Inc. of Tampa, Kan.; the propane operations of George’s Gas Co. of Springdale, Ark.; and the propane operations of Rolla Farmer’s Exchange of Rolla, Mo.
