WASHINGTON (December 6, 2022) — The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is hosting a new webinar, “The Opportunity for Propane in the Rental Service Market” as part of its Propane Presents Technology Series beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022. The webinar will explore propane’s role in the construction rental equipment industry as well as opportunities to reduce jobsite emissions.

In 2021, the construction equipment rental market was valued at $118 billion and is expected to reach $180 billion by 2027. In this webinar, PERC’s director of off-road business development, Joe Calhoun, will be joined by Josh Headings of Scanmaskin, Gary Meador of Sunbelt Rentals, and Jeremy Hahne of Onyx Systems LLC. Together, they will discuss how their companies are finding success with propane’s versatility and near-zero emissions profile.

“The need for portable, versatile and clean energy sources will only continue to increase as construction crews work to keep up with consumer demand,” said Calhoun. “Whether you are looking to work with a local rental service or a national chain, propane can power a wide variety of equipment in the construction market from a walk behind grinder to ride-on concrete finishing equipment. We want to demonstrate how companies are using propane to keep projects moving while simultaneously reducing emissions.”

As environmental regulations continue to get stricter, construction companies must find ways to meet ever-changing standards. With propane, companies can reduce sulfur oxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions while safely operating indoors and out.

PERC’s “Propane Presents Technology Series” focuses on new and emerging propane technologies, tools and education. Hosted and facilitated by PERC, in partnership with various OEMs and industry partners, the series aims to showcase various propane products across multiple markets, answer questions directly from the industry and end users, and provide relevant resources and training information.
