Russ Bartels

NATIONAL — Russ Bartels, director of AmeriGas Wholesale, announced plans to retire in July after over 35 years of working for AmeriGas. Bartels started his career with AmeriGas working at the Palatine, Illinois district replacing cylinder valves. He transitioned over to the supply and transportation team in 1988 and then transitioned to the wholesale division in 1994. Bartels shared that “the best part of my job has been working with so many true professionals at AmeriGas over the years and building incredible relationships within the company and with our wholesale customers.”

Warren Patterson, vice president of commercial operations and sales at AmeriGas said, "Bartels's impact on the U.S. propane supply and wholesale industry, not just AmeriGas, has been incredible. He is an active leader on our Houston leadership team, always advocating for new and effective ways to service our wholesale and AmeriGas customer base safely."

Bartels will remain in AmeriGas for the next 60 days in a part-time consultative role as AmeriGas begins searching for a new candidate.
