The thirteenth largest propane marketer in the U.S., Superior Plus Energy Services, headquartered in Rochester, NY, recently joined the Alliance AutoGas network, a network comprised of more than 120 independent propane marketers and authorized conversion centers throughout North America, providing a propane autogas solution to medium and heavy-duty fleets.
Since 1922, Superior Plus Energy Services has served residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, transportation and government customers in nine states in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Employing 1,000 individuals, Superior Plus Energy Services is one of the largest fuel marketers in the U.S.
Alliance AutoGas states that current Alliance customers, which range from national transportation companies, taxi and shuttle fleets, law enforcement and private fleets throughout North America, are experiencing significant fuel cost savings and reduced maintenance when compared to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles. In 2015, the 120 Alliance AutoGas members collectively displaced 45 million gallons of gasoline and produced $54 million in fuel cost savings for the 460 fleets they service.
Alliance AutoGas recently performed a live demonstration of an Alternative Fuel Conversion to propane autogas with Alliance’s new Engineered Conversion System on a Bi-Fuel 2016 3.5 Liter Ford F-150 V6 nearly 30 minutes faster than the predicted two hour window at the 2016 Work Truck Show/Green Truck Summit in Indianapolis. More than 100 participants attended the live demonstration and witnessed Alliance’s EPA and NFPA 58 compliant "plug and play" system that does not require permanent vehicle modifications. In early May of this year, the converted F-150 will embark on a 5,300 mile trip commencing in Kansas City, KS, travel to Portland, OR, across the country to Jacksonville, FL, and complete its journey in Asheville, NC, on May 20. The Alliance AutoGas Clean Air Coast-to-Coast Ride, supported by partners and sponsors, will show real time results of a cleaner, domestically- produced, and cost effective fuel option for fleets.
