As propane autogas continues to be a strong choice for fleets as an alternative fuel option, Blossman Services, Inc. (BSI) has announced the offering of an AutoGas LPG Evacuation Pump, the first of its kind in the United States, designed to remove propane from autogas tanks when service or repairs are required.

In 2015, 25% of all new school bus sales were propane autogas powered variants. This successful growth also comes with some growing pains.

Blossman Services, Inc. listened to its autogas conversion partners, autogas vehicle OEM’s and Industry leaders and embarked on its own mission to find a solution to this problem.

BSI is pleased to announce their offering of the first AutoGas LPG Evacuation Pump of its kind in the United States, designed to remove propane from autogas tanks when service or repairs are required.

This one-of-a-kind, patent pending, Autogas LPG Evacuation System can evacuate a Gen 3 OEM, fuel pump equipped LPI vehicle tank filled with 44 useable gallons in 1.5 hours to zero PSI tank pressure without venting any propane into the atmosphere. Autogas fleets and trained autogas technicians now have a service tool available that allows them to safely work on their vehicles on their own timelines.

A fleet may transfer fuel from the vehicle fuel tank being serviced to: another autogas vehicle; a refueling station or a separate LPG storage tank.

Blossman Services, Inc. takes pride in bringing new and innovative equipment to the autogas industry. The new Autogas LPG Evacuation Pump is no exception. Some key benefits of the pump include:

· Completely air operated… reducing any ignition sources for safety*

· Rugged pneumatic wheels that allow ease of movement over rough, off-road surfaces

· A visual flow indicator that allows a user to visually monitor the transfer of propane during the evacuation process

· Optional vapor flaring mode to allow flaring by trained propane professionals and autogas mechanics

· Fuel may be returned back into the tank after service with no loss of propane

The Autogas LPG Evacuation Pump is available through Blossman Services, Inc. or, your local propane equipment supplier. To learn more about the Autogas LPG Evacuation Pump, contact David Kennedy, Director of Autogas Design at 828-329-3529.
