The new station, located at 350 W. Firebaugh Avenue in Exeter, will celebrate its grand opening Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Dignitaries including Exeter city officials, local and state government representatives, police and fire officials are invited to attend.

The propane autogas refueling station will provide 24/7 autogas refueling for the private sector, propane fleets, the City of Exeter's propane pickup trucks and lawn mowers, and the local school district's new, cleaner- burning propane powered school buses. Ted Olsen, ARRO Autogas Market Manager stated, “What better way to celebrate ARRO Autogas’ 20th autogas refueling station than with the public sector.”

The City of Exeter Director of Public Works, Daymon Qualls added, “This station serves as an example of the City of Exeter’s commitment to improving air quality and creating a more sustainable and livable community. We are excited about being able to offer a 24-hour alternative fuel source to our residents, as well as the general public.”

Roy Willis, President and CEO of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Willis has led PERC since it was established in 1998, producing world-class safety and training programs, and a research and development portfolio that has helped incubate and commercialize a wide array of clean, efficient, propane-powered vehicles, appliances and equipment. Willis has been actively involved in energy policy for more than two decades, serving in staff roles in the Louisiana legislature and the U.S. House of Representatives. Mr. Willis stated, "Propane Autogas is a clean, affordable alternative to gasoline and diesel, and ARRO Autogas is a long-standing leader in bringing autogas to market.”

The event will conclude with an up-close view of the new station followed by a question and answer session with representative Linda Urata, Clean Cities Executive Chair and Coordinator.
