NEW Propane Products in the news covid causes RE Michel launch mobile warehouse bpn 1220MOBILE WAREHOUSE.
RE Michel Co. has launched a mobile warehouse concept vehicle to service propane companies in Arizona. The concept involves driving a mobile warehouse to the customer in order to display and demonstrate the newest industry products, and then sell them on the spot. “I think the propane industry is ready for some new and innovative approaches to equipment distribution” said Ray Kazakewich, national sales manager. He added, “We pack our equipment warehouse into a truck, and drive it to the customer and can meet them at the office or even at a jobsite. We then offer technical advice and training to complement the equipment, and do it all on the spot at no charge. There is no waiting two or three days for UPS, there is no phone call to make where you speak to some distributor rep from 1000 miles away. We will even print their invoice on the spot.” RE Michel offers propane equipment at 105 warehouse locations from coast to coast; this is its first mobile warehouse. It is based out of the company’s existing Gilbert, Ariz., facility. remichel.com/dealerslp.com

PSI has a new 8.8-liter ultra-low-NOx propane engine that has received certification by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB). Produced in collaboration with Navistar’s IC Bus brand, the engine is certified to a NOx emission standard of 0.02 grams per brake horsepower (g/bhp-hr), making it one of the cleanest propane engines available on the transportation market. The 8.8-liter engine is certified beyond EPA’s strictest emission standards and also exceeds CARB’s optional low-NOx standard for heavy-duty engines. In addition, its CO2 emission rate is 10% better than that of current competitive propane engines. The new engine offers 270 hp with 565 lb-ft of torque, comparable to PSI’s existing propane engines. PSI will continue to offer its conventional 8.8-liter propane engine and the new ultra-low-NOx version. The ultra-low-NOx engine will power IC school buses. Production is anticipated early next year. School bus fleets making the switch from diesel to propane engines are eligible to receive federal, state, and private grants. psiengines.com
