Southcross Holdings LP (Dallas) has placed into service the second of two NGL fractionation trains at its Robstown fractionator near Corpus Christi, Texas, bringing total capacity to 63,000 bbld. The completion of Robstown, together with existing Southcross fractionation assets, provides the company with sufficient capacity to meet its current and projected growth needs for Y-grade produced at its natural gas processing complex.

The completion of the second Robstown fractionation train is a milestone in the development of Southcross’s integrated processing and fractionation complex, allowing it to deliver additional purity NGL products from the Robstown facilities to customers in the Corpus Christi area.

In addition, Southcross has completed a Y-grade pipeline connecting its Gregory processing facility to the Bonnie View and Robstown fractionators. All three of the Southcross South Texas processing facilities are now connected to both Robstown and Bonnie View, providing greater flexibility to maximize economics and NGL recoveries.

“The completion of Robstown and the Y-grade pipeline connecting our Gregory processing plant further enhance the value of our integrated South Texas system and assets and provides us with capacity to support future growth,” said John Bonn, president and CEO of Southcross’s general partner. “Robstown is well positioned to meet the growing needs of the petrochemical, industrial, and export demand in the Corpus Christi area and it is ideally suited for potential dropdown to Southcross [Energy Partners GP LLC].”
