Wayne Morgan, vice president of sales at Meeder Equipment Co. (Fresno, Calif.), retired Nov. 18. He started with Meeder in 1972 at its Fresno location before moving to Colorado to manage the Denver warehouse. Morgan returned to California in 2002 to manage sales from the corporate office in Fresno.
Jeff Christiansen has joined Midwest Computer Register (MID:COM; Hampton, Iowa) as its IT administrator/engineer. He will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day IT needs as well as product and service development.Mississippi Propane Gas Association (MPGA) Safety & Education Committee chairman/instructor David Williams and L.C. gas inspector John Gambill retired in late 2016. Williams began in the propane industry in 1975 when he joined Pride Gas, which was later purchased by Neill Gas, where Williams retired as vice president/general manager in 2002. Several years later he joined MPGA and became lead instructor for the Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) and Leak Check schools. Gambill has been in the propane industry since 1969, when he went to work for Pacer-Pittman Brothers LLC. In 1997, he was hired by the Mississippi Insurance Department.
Paraco Gas Corp. (Rye Brook, N.Y.) has appointed Dave Muscato as its first chief operating officer. He will be responsible for sales, marketing, human resources, and operations. Working with Joseph Armentano, Paraco CEO, and his team to set forth the future strategy of the company, he will be in charge of preparing for and driving growth for the company in all market segments. Muscato previously worked at companies such as Pepsi Cola and Nestlé Waters, where he was executive vice president and general manager. Most recently, he was president of the Home Services Division of Schwan Food Co.
Teeco Products Inc. (Irvine, Calif.) has promoted Mike Cooper from fabrication operations supervisor to regional operations manager for its Sacramento, Calif. location. Cooper joined Teeco in 1989, when PACA, the company he was working for, was purchased by Teeco. He has been in the propane industry since 1982.
Tom Valverde retired from Teeco Products Inc., December 2016, after being with the firm for 47 years. Valverde began his career at Teeco in 1969 as a shipping clerk, and in 1972 was promoted to manager of the Irvine, Calif. branch, where he remained until 2001, when that branch was combined with the Sacramento, Calif. location. At that time, Valverde transferred to Sacramento and served as regional operations manager until his retirement.
