The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) has announced its Executive Committee for the 2016-2017 association year. Association chairman-elect, Jerry Brick of North Star Energy LLC (Aberdeen, S.D.), is executive committee chair. Serving with him are NPGA officers Stuart Weidie, Blossman Gas Inc. (Swannanoa, N.C.); Chris Earhart, Dixie Gas & Oil Corp. (Verona, Va.); Randy Thompson, ThompsonGas LLC (Frederick, Md.); and immediate past chairman Charlie Ory, Family Propane (Apache Junction, Ariz.). Denis Gagne of Eastern Propane Gas Co. (Rochester, N.H.); Andy Lambert, SchagrinGAS Co. (Middletown, Del.); and Jim Ressler, Ressler Propane (Mountville, Pa.) represent Intrastate Marketers; and Cal Calanchini, Suburban Propane (Fresno, Calif.); Andrew Peyton, AmeriGas Propane LP (King of Prussia, Pa.); and Randy Warner, Ferrellgas (Liberty, Mo.), represent Multistate Marketers. The Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA) has installed its officers for the 2016-2017 term. Cindy Belmont of Delta Liquid Energy (Paso Robles, Calif.) will serve as chairwoman; Ray Galan, Ferrellgas (Reno, Nev.), vice chairman; and Patti Grantham, Targa Resources (San Ramon, Calif.), secretary/treasurer.
During its annual convention and board meeting, WPGA honored Lesley Garland with its Distinguished Service Award.
The Wisconsin Propane Gas Association (WPGA) recently elected its officers for 2016 and named its Marketer District Directors. Roger Boehlke of Boehlke Bottled Gas Corp. (Cedarburg) was elected to serve a one-year term as president of the WPGA board. He succeeds Chris Tews of Dale Gas & Oil (Dale), who served as president for six years and will continue to serve on the WPGA board as immediate past president. Also elected to the executive board to serve one year terms were Jim Olson, ThompsonGas, vice president; Brian Poehls, Midwest Truck Service, 2nd vice president; and Bryon Walters, Walters Gas Service (Beaver Dam), secretary/treasurer.
Marketer members elected to serve a two-year term as district director include: Jim Olson, ThompsonGas, district 1; Jeff Johnson, Rusk County Farm Supply (Ladysmith), district 2; Dale Sleznikow, Heartland Cooperative Services, district 3; Jason Wild, Lakes Gas Co. (Medford), district 4; Justin Lee, Premier Cooperative, district 5; Dennis Brushaber, AmeriGas, district 6; Dianne Schubert, Allied Cooperative (West Salem), district 7; Nick Tasch, Milton Propane (Waupun), district 8; and Bryon Walters, Walters Gas Service, district 9. Incumbent Supplier-at-Large Director, Brian Poehls of Midwest Truck Service, was re-elected to serve another three-year term.
According to Mike Hopsicker, New York Propane Gas Association (NYPGA) president, Brandon Smith of Scott Smith & Son Inc. (Owego) has been named NYPGA District 4 director.
Algas-SDI (Seattle) recently restructured its operations, launching two distinct business groups. As part of the restructuring, the company promoted two key employees. Todd Meadows and Mike Zimmer will serve as directors of the new business groups, the LP-Gas Products group and the Gas Systems group, respectively.
Meadows joined the company in 2013 as director of operations. In his new position, he will be responsible for all standard products and related parts sold through distributions. Kirsten Bellar will be the director of sales for the LP-Gas Products group.
Zimmer joined Algas-SDI 21 years ago, and most recently worked as director of technology. He will now be responsible for development, planning, design, procurement, and fulfillment of different areas of the business. John Searle has joined the company as director of strategic business development, with responsibility for overseeing the development of growth initiatives and market strategies.
Kiva Energy Inc. (Sandy, Utah) has promoted Angie Hasenohrl and Brannon Morse to regional sales managers. They will both continue their direct sales responsibilities with their current customer base and will now also oversee sales throughout the Western U.S. market. Hasenohrl will continue direct sales in her InterMountain territory while providing management oversight to Kiva’s sales in the Southwest and Rocky Mountain territories. Morse will maintain his presence in the company’s Northwest territory and will also manage Kiva’s sales in the California market.
Clair Rew of Heartland Co-op (Urbandale, Iowa) retired May 31. She served on the Iowa PERC board for a number of years.
