During the latest mid-month period, posted prices at Mont Belvieu increased. The posted prices rose 13.917 cents/gal., from September mid-month price to October mid-month while the spot prices rose 12.625 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 13.25-cent increase and spots rose 13.75 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-September posted price was 141.422 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose by 2.584 cents to 144.006 cents, followed by a 10.083-cent increase to 154.089 cents in the last week of September. Prices rose another 8.667 cents to land at 162.756 in the first week of October. At mid-month, postings dropped 7.417 cents to land at 155.339 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2020, the October 2021 prices were 91.832 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan., mid-September posted price was 135.398 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose 3.05 cents to 138.448 cents, followed by a 9.8-cent increase to 148.248 cents in the last week of September. Prices then rose another 8.35 cents to land at 156.598 in the first week of October. At mid-month, postings dropped back 7.95 cents to land at 148.648 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2020, the October 2021 prices were 88.531 cents higher.

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-September period at 131.500-132.625 cents/gal. The next week, prices increased 2.25 cents to 133.750-134.875 cents. The prices increased by 5.25 cents to 139.000-141.750 cents in the last week of September. The first week of October saw a 5.375-cent rise that pulled spots up to 144.375-145.625 cents. Mid-month saw a slight drop, gaining 0.25 cents to 144.125-144.750 cents. Compared to the same time in October 2020, the October 2021 prices were 91.125 cents above a year ago.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened mid-September at 131.500-132.750 cents. The following week saw a 3-cent increase to 134.500-135.000 cents, and then a 4-cent rise to 138.500-140.000 cents in the last week of September. Prices then moved higher, rising 6.25 cents to 144.750-146.500 cents in the first week of October. At mid-month period, they inched up 0.5 cents to 145.250-145.750 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in October 2020, the October 2021 prices were 91.75 cents higher than a year ago.
