During the latest mid-month period, posted prices at Mont Belvieu saw a small increase in contrast to downward trends seen elsewhere. The posted prices rose 0.833 cents/gal., from October mid-month price to November mid-month while the spot prices dropped 12.125 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 2.074-cent decrease and spots declined 12.875 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-October posted price was 155.339 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose by 4.25 cents to 159.589 cents, followed by a 9.083-cent decrease to 150.506 cents in the last week of October. Prices then rose 2.333 cents to land at 152.839 in the first week of November. At mid-month, postings rose another 3.333 cents to land at 156.172 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2020, the November 2021 prices were 88.915 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan., mid-October posted price was 148.648 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose 3.4 cents to 152.048 cents, followed by an 8.95-cent decrease to 143.098 cents in the last week of October. Prices then rose 1.25 cents to land at 144.348 in the first week of November. At mid-month, postings rose another 2.226 cents to land at 146.574 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2020, the November 2021 prices were 86.057 cents higher.

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-October period at 144.125-144.750 cents/gal. The next week, prices decreased 2.125 cents to 142.000-142.250 cents. The prices decreased by 7 cents to 135.000-135.500 cents in the last week of October. The first week of November saw a 2.375-cent rise that pulled spots up to 137.375-138.500 cents. Mid-month saw a drop, losing 5.375 cents to 132.000-132.500 cents. Compared to the same time in November 2020, the November 2021 prices were 75.625 cents above a year ago.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened mid-October at 145.250-145.750 cents. The following week saw a 2.75-cent decrease to 142.500-143.500 cents, and then a 7-cent drop to 135.500-136.250 cents in the last week of October. Prices then moved higher, rising 1.75 cents to 137.250-139.000 cents in the first week of November. At mid-month period, they dropped back down 4.875 cents to 132.375-134.000 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in November 2020, the November 2021 prices were 77.5 cents higher than a year ago.
