During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu continued to mostly increase as we get further from winter. The posted prices decreased by 1 cent/gal, from February mid-month to March mid-month while the spot prices increased 4.5 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 0.25-cent increase and spots increased 5.5 cents over the month.
MB Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-February posted price was 138.922 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 16.834 cents to 155.756 cents, followed by a 7.833-cent increase to 163.589 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 0.417 cents to land at 163.172 the next week. At mid-month, postings decreased 25.25 cents to land at 137.922 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2021, the March 2022 prices were 36.583 cents higher.
Conway Postings
The Conway, Kan. mid-February posted price was 131.248 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 14 cents to 145.248 cents, followed by a 11.35-cent increase to 156.598 cents the first week of March. Prices then increased 1.6 cents to land at 158.198 the following week. At mid-month, postings decreased 26.7 cents to land at 131.498 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2021, the March 2022 prices were 35.251 cents higher.
MB Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-February period at 127.500 cents/gal. The next week the price increased by 16.5 cents to 144.000 cents, followed by a 6.75-cent increase to 150.750 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 8.25 cents to land at 142.500 the following week. At mid-month, they fell 10.5 cents to land at 132.000 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2021, the March 2022 prices were 43.5 cents higher.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened the mid-February period at 126.000 cents/gal. The next week the price increased 15.25 cents to 141.250 cents, followed by a 6.25-cent increase to 147.500 cents the first week of March. Prices then decreased 5.25 cents to land at 142.250 the following week. At mid-month, they fell 10.75 cents to land at 131.500 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in March 2021, the March 2022 prices were 49.5 cents higher.
