During the latest mid-month period, posted prices at Mont Belvieu increased. The posted prices rose 15.25 cents/gal., from June mid-month price to July mid-month while the spot prices jumped 14.25 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 13-cent increase and spots rose 14 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-June posted price was 106.506 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose by 6 cents to 112.506 cents, followed by a 7-cent increase to 119.506 cents in the first week of July. Prices then rose 1 cent to land at 120.506 in the second week of the month. At mid-month, postings climbed another 1.25 cents to land at 121.756 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in July 2020, the July 2021 prices were 63.416 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan., mid-June posted price was 100.097 cents/gal. The next week, the price rose 5.5 cents to 105.597 cents, followed by an 8-cent increase to 113.597 cents in the first week of July. Prices then fell 1.2 cents to land at 112.397 in the second week of the month. At mid-month, postings climbed another 0.7 cents to land at 113.097 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in July 2020, the July 2021 prices were 60.178 cents higher.

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-June period at 95.250-95.625 cents/gal. The next week, prices increased 7.25 cents to 102.500-102.750 cents. The prices continued to increase to 109.000-110.375 cents in the first week of July. The second week of July saw a 4-cent decline that pulled spots down to 105.000-106.250 cents. Mid-month saw an increase, gaining 4.5 cents to 109.500-110.750 cents. Compared to the same time in July 2020, the July 2021 prices were 61.25 cents above a year ago.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened mid-June at 94.000-94.75 cents. The following week saw a 7.75-cent increase to 101.75-102.25 cents, and then a 6-cent rise to 107.75-109.000 cents in the first week of July. Prices then moved lower, sliding 4 cents to 103.75-105.000 cents in the second week of July. At mid-month period, they increased 5.75 cents to 109.500-110.75 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in July 2020, the July 2021 prices were 62 cents higher than a year ago.
