The posted prices decreased 4.25 cents/gal, from July mid-month to August mid-month, and the spot prices decreased 6.125 cents. Conway, Kansas, postings decreased 3.9 cents/gal, and spots decreased 4.375 cents over the month.
Mont Belvieu Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-July posted price was 90.73. The next week the price decreased 2.583 cents to 88.147 cents/gal, followed by a 0.917-cent decrease to 87.23 cents the next week. Prices decreases 0.916 cents to 86.314 cents the first week of August, followed by a 2.084-cent decrease to 84.23 cents the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 2.25 cents to 86.48 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2023, the August 2024 prices were 14.933 cents higher.
Conway Postings
The Conway mid-July posted price was 83.176 cents/gal. The next week the price decreased 2.5 cents to 80.676 cents/gal, followed by a 1.45-cent decrease to 79.226 cents the following week. The price decreased 0.75 cents to 78.476 cents the first week of August. Prices then decreased 0.1 cents to 78.376 cents the next week. At mid-month, postings increased 0.9 cents to 79.276 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2023, the August 2024 prices were 10.528 cents higher.
Mont Belvieu Spots
Mont Belvieu spots opened mid-July at 80.875. The next week the price fell 2.125 cents to 78.75 cents/gal, followed by a 2-cent decrease to 76.75 cents the next week. Prices remained at 76.75 the first week of August. Prices then decreased 1.75 cents to 75 cents the next week. At mid-month, they fell 0.25 cents to 74.75 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2023, the August 2024 prices were 12.75 cents higher.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened mid-July at 77.875 cents/gal. The next week the price fell by 2.125 cents to 75.75 cents/gal., followed by a 2.25-cent decrease to 73.5 cents the following week. Prices remained at 73.5 cents for the first week of August. Prices then decreased 0.5 cents to 73 cents the next week. At mid-month, they rose 0.5 cents to 73.5 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2023, the August 2024 prices were 10.25 cents higher.
