MFA Oil Company (Columbia, Mo.) has acquired Basin Propane Systems, an independently owned propane retailer based in Vernal, Utah. Basin Propane services customers in the northeast region of the state.
“We are thrilled to have the first of what we hope will be many acquisitions of propane businesses in Utah,” says Mark Fenner, MFA Oil president and CEO. “Basin Propane has an excellent reputation in the industry, and we are proud to be the new owner. This purchase furthers our push for market expansion outside of our traditional geography, and we look forward to continuing to provide great service to our new customers in Utah.”
Basin Propane Systems is MFA Oil’s fourth acquisition of its fiscal year that began Sept. 1, 2014, and the 10th acquisition in the last 12 months. The company previously announced the acquisitions of Eubanks Oil Co. of Paragould, Ark.; Faughn Oil Co. of Campbell, Mo.;Alexander Propane of Sullivan, Mo.; Brown Propane Gas of Neosho, Mo.; All Propane of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Home Service Oil of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; New Hampton Propane of New Hampton, Mo.; Georgia LP Gas Co. of Manchester, Ga.; and PB’s Propane of West Plains, Mo.
MFA Oil continues to look for opportunities to purchase companies in its existing market area as well as expand its footprint to other states.
