Liberty, Mo. (April 5, 2024) — Ferrellgas has promoted Ray Galan into the new role of vice president, head of retail.
Galan joined the company in 1997 as a district manager trainee after graduating from the University of California, Davis. Shortly after his training, he was asked to run the Ferrellgas office in Eugene, Oregon. He was promoted to Portland, Oregon, district manager the following year and served the market in that capacity for five years. He was named Northern California area manager in 2004 and Southwest region vice president in 2007. In 2010, he returned to the west to oversee West Division Sales. In 2016, he was tapped to oversee operations in the western half of the country as senior vice president. Galan remained in an operations role until 2020, when he was named vice president of retail sales. In that role, Galan led Ferrellgas’ sales organization, which consists of account managers across the country, as well as dedicated national accounts and autogas sales teams.
In this new role, he retains oversight of retail sales while also assuming oversight of retail operations and the company’s customer experience and marketing teams.
Galan is the current president of the Nevada Propane Dealers Association and a past chairman of the Western Propane Gas Association, where he currently serves as governmental affairs chairman. He also represents Ferrellgas as a member of the National Propane Gas Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee and sits on the board of directors.
