Enterprise Products Partners LP (Houston) said March 30 that Michael A. Creel, CEO of Enter­prise’s general partner, intends to retire as of Dec. 31. A.J. (Jim) Teague, COO, has been elected to suc­ceed Creel upon his retirement. Teague has served as a director of Enterprise’s general partner since 2008 and as COO since 2010. He joined Enterprise in 1999 and is a retiree of Dow Chemical Co. following a 23-year career. Teague has 40 years of experience in the midstream and petrochemical industries.

“Mike Creel has been an important member of Enterprise’s management team and our success,” said Randa Duncan Williams, non-executive chair­man of Enterprise’s general partner. “I would like to thank him for his 16 years of leadership and contri­butions. Over the next nine months, in addition to his normal duties, Mike will be actively involved in transition activities as we prepare for his retirement.”

The board of directors has elected to expand the office of chairman effective April 1. Currently, the office is comprised of Williams, non-executive chairman; Creel, CEO; and Teague, COO. The role of chief administrative officer has been added to the office of chairman. W. Randall Fowler will assume the latter role. Fowler has served as director of Enter­prise’s general partner since 2011 and as executive vice president and CFO since 2007. He joined Enterprise in 1999. A certified public accountant, Fowler has 35 years of finance and accounting experience in various sectors of the energy industries. Upon Creel’s retire­ment, the office of chairman will include Williams as non-executive chairman, Teague as CEO, and Fowler as chief administrative officer.

Bryan F. Bulawa has been elected senior vice president and CFO. Bulawa has served as Enterprise’s senior vice president and treasurer since 2009. He joined the company as vice president and treasurer in 2007. Christian M. (Chris) Nelly has been elected vice president and treasurer. Nelly has served as senior director of finance since 2011. “I am pleased to announce that Jim Teague will succeed Mike,” said Williams. “Jim has also been integral to our success. His commercial experience in both the midstream and petrochemical industries is without peer. I look forward to working with Jim as we execute Enterprise’s current set of growth projects and pursue new opportunities.”
