On Dec. 28, Roush alerted its customers and the propane industry that the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit was approved for 2021. On Sunday night, Dec. 27, President Trump signed the FY 2021 Omnibus Spending Bill combined with the COVID Stimulus measures.

According to a statement from ROUSH, the bill includes many clean transportation provisions, including extending the key alternative fuel tax incentives through 2021. Propane credits are covered at 36 cents/gal. (U.S.) In addition, the alternative fuel infrastructure tax credit was also extended through Dec. 31, 2021.

Fueling equipment for propane and natural gas is eligible for a tax credit of 30% of the cost, not to exceed $30,000 per property.
