Alliance Autogas truckAsheville, N.C. (April 21, 2022) — Alliance AutoGas (AAG) will have a 2022 Ford F550 Service Truck on display in the Autogas Pavilion at the 2022 NPGA Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo to show marketers that there are solutions available today for their propane fleets. Representatives from AAG will also be discussing the fact that, while there is a substantial amount of buzz around electric vehicles, propane autogas continues to evolve while being a more practical solution right now for fleets across the country during their panel titled "Autogas vs. the Electric Vehicle: Propane’s Role in the Energy Mix" on Sunday, April 24, from 9:00-10:15 a.m. at the convention.

The F550 with a 7.3L V8 engine bifuel vehicle in the Alliance AutoGas booth is a Signature Truck Systems crane truck converted with an Alliance Engineered Fuel System using Prins components, and is on sale at the show for the exclusive show price of $141,822.45.

With the prices of gasoline nearing or exceeding $4 per gallon right now in many places in the U.S., there is no better time to consider a domestically produced fuel. On average, autogas can save fleets more than 30% on their fuel costs, with the differential being almost 50% less at this time.

The AAG panel on Sunday will feature David Kennedy, director of autogas design; Mark Denton, VP of business development; and Steve McCoy, VP of business development. Propane marketers will leave the panel knowing that despite the public perception of alternative fuels, autogas is making immense progress in the fleet industry and in minimizing the carbon footprint of those fleets. Autogas is also playing a major role in reducing emissions in our communities and has its own place on the path to zero emissions. AAG will provide a better understanding on the benefits of autogas, including propane’s advantages when it comes to fuel density, vehicle range, load capacity and refueling time.

“Alliance AutoGas is excited to be showcasing an autogas Signature service truck at this year’s Southeastern Expo. Not only can marketers see firsthand a propane vehicle that could work in their fleet, but they can purchase it from the show and put it to work right away,” says Josh Budworth, director of business development at Alliance AutoGas.
